There is a place for you at NHR.

We need volunteers!  This is a great opportunity to have hands-on experience with our riders. No experience with horses or individuals with disabilities is necessary. We need people to groom and tack horses, assist riders, lead horses, and work in the barn or office. Contact us to make a difference in the lives of these riders.

We need professionals!  We are currently seeking physical, occupational or recreational therapists to join our Hippotherapy team. If you know someone who has these or other professional skills that could benefit NHR, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We need riders! If you know someone who would benefit from Equine Assisted Activities, have them contact us. Classes will fill up quickly.

We need donations!  Please review the needs list below and see how you can help provide these items for the riders at NHR.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:
• VOLUNTEERS interested in taking a few hours a week to make a real difference in the lives of our riders.
• Funding for initial expenses, horse-care expenses and/or riderships
• Tack – new or used English/Western (saddles, bridles, blankets, reins, girths, grooming supplies, etc.)
• Safety equipment (helmets, gait belts, safety stirrups)
• Fencing materials

OTHER NEEDS:
• Laptop computer, printer
• Horse trailer
• Equine equipment and supplies (manure forks, pine shavings, feed buckets, water buckets, horse blankets)
• Arena drag
